Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ear Wax.

Most clients feel a brief, sharp sting followed by short-lived redness or tenderness. Discomfort usually subsides within minutes to a few hours. We offer numbing options and soothing aftercare if you have sensitivity—discuss preferences during your consultation.

Results usually last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles, hormonal influences, and treatment frequency. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and produce finer hair over time. Most clients book every four to six weeks.

You may experience temporary redness, tenderness, or small bumps immediately after treatment; these typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Avoid hot water, heavy creams, and direct sun for a day. Contact us if swelling, pus, or prolonged pain occurs.

Most clients are good candidates, but certain conditions—active ear infections, open wounds, recent isotretinoin use, or severe skin disorders—require delaying treatment. Notify our staff about medications, allergies, or piercings during booking for a safe personalized assessment.

Clean the area and avoid heavy moisturizers or oils before your appointment. Hair should be about a quarter-inch long for effective removal. Inform us of medications, skin sensitivities, or recent procedures to tailor the treatment safely.

Gently cleanse the area, avoid touching or picking, and skip hot showers, saunas, swimming, or heavy exercise for 24 hours. Apply a soothing aloe or antibacterial ointment if needed. Contact us if you notice increasing redness, pus, or persistent pain.
