Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth. Regular waxing often extends time between sessions as hair grows back finer. Schedule maintenance every four to six weeks for consistent results and optimal skin health.

Pain varies by individual and sensitivity. Waxing pulls hair from the root, so some discomfort occurs, but professional techniques and numbing options can reduce pain. Most clients find waxing less irritating over time compared to frequent shaving or chemical depilatories.

Exfoliate gently 48–72 hours before your appointment and avoid moisturizing immediately prior. Trim if hair is longer than a half-inch. Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid retinoids or strong acids a few days beforehand to reduce sensitivity.

Apply a soothing, fragrance-free lotion after 24 hours and avoid hot tubs, tanning, or tight clothing for 48 hours. Use gentle exfoliation after 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Call us if you experience prolonged redness, swelling, or infection signs.

Pregnancy: many clients safely receive bikini waxing, though comfort and positioning changes may be needed; consult your provider. Periods: waxing during menstruation is possible but may increase sensitivity and infection risk; bring sanitary products and discuss concerns with your esthetician beforehand.

For best results, hair should be about a quarter to half an inch long so wax can grip the follicle. If too short, waxing may be ineffective; if too long, we'll trim to a comfortable length before treatment.
