Get answers to common questions about Permanent brow .
Results typically last one to three years depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and pigment choice. Most clients schedule a refinement at 6–8 weeks and maintenance touch-ups every 12–24 months to keep brows crisp and color consistent.
Most clients report mild discomfort only. We apply a topical numbing agent before and during treatment to minimize pain. Sensations are often described as light scratching. Your technician adjusts technique and breaks to ensure comfort throughout the appointment.
Avoid retinol, chemical peels, and excessive sun exposure for two weeks prior. Stop blood-thinning medications or supplements only after consulting your physician. Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows and share medical history so your technician can customize pigment and technique safely.
Initial healing typically takes 7–14 days with light scabbing and fading; avoid applying makeup to the brow area for at least 7–10 days. Full pigment settling occurs over 4–6 weeks, after which a touch-up may be scheduled for perfecting results.
When performed by skilled artists, permanent brows are designed to look natural. Techniques like hair-stroke microblading or soft shading mimic real hairs and contour. Proper color matching and individualized brow mapping prevent an overly bold or artificial appearance.
Not everyone qualifies; contraindications include pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infections, recent cosmetic procedures in the brow area, uncontrolled diabetes, a history of keloids, or certain blood-thinning medications. A consultation and health disclosure will determine safe candidacy and alternatives if needed.
