Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Bikini.

Most clients need 6-8 Bikini sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart. Results are cumulative; coarse hair responds fastest. Factors like hair color, skin tone, and hormones affect total sessions and occasional maintenance treatments may be recommended.

You may feel brief stinging or warm snaps during Bikini treatment, but most describe discomfort as mild to tolerable. We use cooling and adjustable settings, and topical numbing can be provided for increased comfort when requested.

Avoid swimming and hot tubs for 24-48 hours after Bikini laser to reduce infection and irritation risks. Stay out of direct sun, keep the area clean and dry, and follow your technician's specific aftercare instructions.

Advanced lasers at BodyBrite can be safely adjusted for many skin tones, including darker complexions. Very light, gray, or red hair may respond less effectively. A consultation and patch test determine the best device and settings for your Bikini area.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least two weeks before your Bikini appointment. Do not wax or pluck—shave 24 hours prior. Inform us of medications and prior treatments to ensure safe, effective laser settings.

After Bikini laser, protect treated skin with sunscreen, avoid hot baths, saunas, and exfoliating products for several days. Use cool compresses for redness and follow prescribed topical care. Do not wax or pluck between sessions; shaving is permitted if needed.
