Get answers to common questions about Areola.
Yes — at BodyBrite we use lasers suitable for multiple skin tones; clinicians adjust settings to reduce pigment risk. A consultation and test spot determine the safest parameters for your skin and to minimize hyperpigmentation or burns.
Typically 4–8 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart are recommended, since hair cycles affect effectiveness. Darker, coarser hair responds faster; multiple treatments ensure thorough clearance and longer-lasting reduction for the areola area.
When performed by trained technicians using appropriate settings, scarring is rare. Temporary redness or slight pigment changes can occur, particularly with recent tanning. Pre- and post-care instructions reduce risks; report any unusual reactions immediately for prompt evaluation.
Many clients prefer topical numbing for comfort, although treatments are generally tolerable. We offer numbing creams upon request and can adjust laser intensity. Your technician will discuss options during consultation to ensure a comfortable, individualized experience.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least two weeks. Do not pluck or wax; shave 24 to 48 hours before treatment. Bring any relevant medical history and medications to your appointment to prevent complications.
Recovery is minimal: expect mild redness or tenderness for 24 to 72 hours. Keep the area clean, avoid heat and sun exposure, and follow moisturizing and sunscreen guidance. Most resume normal activities immediately with gentle care and monitoring.
